Join birdlife Mackay on the last Friday of each month for a free bird species count at the botanic gardens and lagoons. Meet at the viewing deck near the café at 6am. All are welcome to participate and learn about local birds.

Special Olympics Mackay Fire welcomes Special Olympics athletes and individuals with intellectual disabilities or autism to participate in 3x3 basketball, table tennis, bocce, and tenpin bowling. Proudly sponsored by Lawford and Michelle Edwards of Increw Group, the club’s annual multi-sport sponsor for seven years, this event offers a supportive environment for athletes to enjoy and showcase their skills.
