The 35th Anniversary For Bowen Polocrosse Carnival

The 35th annual Bowen Polocrosse Carnival is set to be a weekend long family fun event where the whole community can get together.

To celebrate the 35th anniversary Bowen Polocrosse club encourage past present members to get together, chat, catch up and have a great time playing the sport they love.

The Bowen Polocrosse Carnival brings a high-class spectacle and event to Bowen.

Organiser Jessie Russell said “Polo is a sport that every member of the family can play, young or old and any gender”.

“If you can hold a racquet and ride a horse you can play the sport, you can be 18 months or 80 years old and still play the sport.”

Manager of Bowen Tourism and Business, Leanne Abernethy said the annual polocrosse carnival was a great event for the region.

“This carnival brings visitors to Bowen each year and some of the participants stay and visit other parts of our region,” said Leanne.

“Events such as this provide an economic boost to Bowen and the greater Whitsundays, and we are looking forward to welcoming the visitors again this year.

“The carnival has a strong history, and we are very pleased it is being held again in 2024.”

The Bowen Polocrosse Club would also like to give the Grand View Hotel a special mention for hosting their fun night activities over the weekend.
