A Festival Haven At Lake Proserpine

Situated on the beautiful Lake Proserpine the first Barra and Boots Country Music Festival was a huge success earlier this year and there is plenty more to come!

With over 500 people present at Barra and Boots it was an unforgettable experience for the country music enthusiasts who had a huge day filled with exceptional country artists.

Day trippers and campers had travelled far and wide to be there and famous acts such as Adam Brand, Sara Storer, Andrew Swift, Portia Clark all took to the stage and provided great vibes!

The atmosphere started relaxed but as the sunset provided a vibrant backdrop across the lake it picked up and people were out of their seats and hitting the dance floor.

Attendees enjoyed the backdrop of the Lake Proserpine campground which showcased its beauty and ability to host large scale events. Due to its success, discussions have commenced to bring the event back bigger and better in 2025.

Meanwhile, On Saturday 13 July, Lake Proserpine will host its next music event, the "Reef Sundowner," presented by Queensland Music Trails.

This free event is a fantastic opportunity for the community to come together and support local music.

Director of Commercial Businesses, Craig Turner, stated, "I encourage everyone interested to book a free ticket and attend. The more support we show as locals, the better we can demonstrate that Lake Proserpine is an ideal location for such great events."
